Everyone loves to explore new places, and thanks to the likes of the Internet and social media like Instagram, we are able to discover new cities and regions through someone else’s lense. A huge niche on Instagram is travel and tourism so your opportunities to literally travel around the world from the comfort of your couch is totally possible! But, if you’re looking to get out to the real world and travel in 2018, we picked out 10 of the most Instagrammable cities in the world that are totally Instagram worthy. So get your bags packed, your camera batteries charged and grab your passport and start globetrotting!

1. Paris, France

An obvious choice but one that we couldn’t ignore is Paris, France. Known for the capital of love and one of the fashion world, it’s a great place to travel to. Paris is packed with loads of history with places like Arènes de Lutèce, Château de Versaille, Place de la Concorde and the famous Arc de Triomphe that also bodes some amazing architecture. Don’t forget one of the most Instagrammable places in Paris, Palais Royal that has those iconic Colonnes de Buren. Oh and you didn’t think we’d forget the Eiffel Tower did you? With so much to see in Paris, we definitely recommend traveling there at least once!

2. Istanbul, Turkey

Istanbul might not be Turkey’s capital city but it’s known as the country’s cultural and historic centre and is the most populated city in Turkey. Some noteworthy architectural spots to checkout are Dolmabahce Palace, Topkapi Palace and Sultanahmet Camii also known as the Blue Mosque. The Grand Bazaar, similar to the Souks in Marrakech, are also a mesmerizing packed with Instagram approved opportunities for content. For all you beach bums, the Burc Beach is one of the most famous ones along the Black Sea, and is a total must see!

3. Montréal, Canada

A great Canadian city filled with great Instagram spots from restaurants to historic districts is Montréal. For those who love to outdoors, Montréal’s Botanical Gardens and Parc La Fontaine are packed with beautiful gardens and treeline trails to explore. There is also a tone of history in the city filled with great architecture from the ports of Old Montréal to the breathtaking St.Joseph’s Oratory. The city doesn’t leave anyone out and has some great foodie spots too like the Garde Manger, Scena (which has great lighting FYI) and Crew Collective & Café built inside an old bank building dating back from the 1920s!

4. Kyoto, Japan

Formerly the Imperial capital of Japan, this historic city on our list is famous for its gardens, Buddhist temples and Imperial palaces. Gion, the most famous geisha district, is a great place day or night to explore the city’s culture and capture content with its lantern lit streets. For those looking for a more zen and nature filled trip, try visit places like Philosopher’s Path known for those gorgeous Cherry Blossom pictures when in season or the icnonic Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.

5. New York, USA

With so much to see, do and eat in New York, do we even have to justify this pick? Everyone knows the top 3 places to see in the city have to be Central Park, Times Square and the 9/11 Memorial which really are the heart and soul of New York. You also can’t forget great spots like Battery Park, SoHo and Greenwich Village that have great spots for food, shopping and taking your next shot for Instagram

6. Phuket, Thailand

We of course needed a pick dedicated to our wanderlust sun loving friends, and Phuket, Thailand is no disappointment! This exotic destination is a great spot for endless beaches, palm trees and colorful foliage shots. Don’t forget the endless fresh dishes and fruits  in Thailand that will leave your followers drooling!

7. St.Petersburg, Russia

If architecture is your thing then believe us when we say, St.Petersburg is the travel destination for you! With so much to see, a great place to start is taking a relaxing boat ride along River Neva, lined some of St.Petersburg’s majestic architecture. Two other great spots are the Grand Peterhof Palace, which was similarly designed like Versaille, and The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, which was built on the site where Alexander II was assassinated.

8. Cape Town, South Africa

South Africa is a traveler’s dream, and makes for some really amazing Instagram pictures. There is so much to discover in Cape Town from stunning beaches and coastlines like Chapman’s Peak Drive and Boulder’s Beach to cultural centers like Woodstock (known for its street art) and the Bo-Kaap. There are also a tone of great vineyards in and around Cape Town that will surely please any foodie. For those to like a bit of history, Robben Island the location of the prison where Nelson Mandela was famously imprisoned.

9. Cartagena, Colombia

Cartagena is a bright and colorful destination great for capturing content. Centro is a classic Cartagena neighbourhood which streets are lined with picture perfect architecture, although be prepared it is a pretty popular spot in the city! For those beach bums Cartagena does not disappoint with Bocagrande, a popular destination for both Colombians and tourists alike. 

10. Agra, India

We couldn’t finish off our list without including the home of one of the 7 Wonders of the World, Agra, India. The Taj Mahal is known as one of the most perfect representations of Muslim art and on average sees 7-8 million visitors. If you’re looking to make Agra your next trip we recommend staying at the Oberoi Amarvilas, where everyone of their rooms has an unobstructed view of the Taj Mahal and includes Instagram worthy amenities like gardens, spas and luxurious restaurants.
